Serangan and Selong Belanak

Words can barely describe how amazing this place is! My family - 2 adults and 4 children aged 12, 10, 6 and 1 - stayed here for a month. It is situated in a grassy gated area set aside for guesthouses, with two really good international restaurants, right on the beach. Serangan beach is stunning - white, coral sand and beautiful clear water with a view of a mountainous island in the bay across from Selong Balanak. You can see the sea from the house, which is especially wonderful if, like my husband, you want to continually check the surf conditions! Kamal arranged beginner surf lessons for my daughters and I with the wonderful Hary's Surf in Selong Balanak and they came to get us every day (10 mins drive away; Serangan is more of an intermediate surf spot). The team were incredible and have become firm friends - arranging everything we could possibly need, from trips snorkeling to laundry and babysitting, and made us a delicious breakfast every day!
